By keeping your WordPress core and plugins updated, your site will run fast, last longer and run better. Are your plugins compatible with the latest version of WordPress? Are there major changes in this version of WordPress that will affect your theme in a negative way? No worries, we take care of all this for you with this service. That way you can focus on your business, not hosting and website management.
We routinely update the WordPress core and the installed plugins. Some restrictions apply to themes with modified E-commerce plugins, custom plugins and applications. In such cases we provide an Extended White Glove service for these needs. This does not include commercial themes (where a license is required), theme bundled plugins where a license is not provided (EX: Slider Revolution, Visual Composer) and E-commerce plugins (EX: WooCommerce, Cart66, etc.) We set up and configure a security plugin on all accounts. For sites we host, we set up offsite and server backups as well as, antivirus protection and filtering for email accounts.
We add each site by hand to our WordPress network. We update the plugins as needed and the Core a few weeks after the initial release. We go through each site one by one and update them by hand. If any issues pop up we try to resolve them or revert to the most recent back up and we can put the site into a staging environment and consult with the site owner.
No problem, once you sign up we’ll take a closer look at the site and consult with you on the next step. We have a WordPress Freshen Up Package that will allot some time for us to put the site into a staging area and update offline. From there we can make the updates and fix any errors that arise without affecting live traffic. In some cases (Our RackSpace Server) you can opt out of the White Glove Service, but it is highly encouraged that you let us update your Core and Plugins.
